Fabric Puppy Developer
Gen 1 production configuration
SCAD01 · Real-time puppy baselines and littermate comparison. Intended for ages 6 weeks to 8 months.
Quick look: Fabric Puppy Developer
Give the trainer a fabric-based starting point for the puppy's early development. The goal is a thoughtful foundation, not maximum resistance at the youngest possible age.
Trainer benefit: Helps the trainer track what the puppy is learning and whether the teaching approach needs adjustment. A consistent record makes it easier to notice comfort, participation and response changes that a general impression can miss.
Give trainers a periodic review point after a block of ordinary development work: what changed, what stayed consistent, and what needs investigation?
Trainer benefit: Supports a recorded comparison between sessions when equipment condition, configuration and assessment conditions are documented. A change in a reading should prompt review, not automatically be called a strength gain or training failure.
Designed for recurring resistance work with adult dogs over one year, with interchangeable resistance configurations and a five-inch-wide red center band.
Trainer benefit: Adapt the configuration to the individual PSS-K9™ and record work between assessments. Rechargeable sensing supports the KAIR™ workflow. Use the approved configuration, calibration record and supervised conditioning protocol.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW · Adult dogs over one year. Individual readiness and workload assessment required.

05 / Controlled equipment development
High-Performance Hidden Sleeve
Gen 1 production configuration
Moving equipment. Clear communication.
Quick look: Bite Sleeve
Give the trainer a dedicated format for controlled moving-equipment familiarization. In SCAD™, the sleeve is a development tool, not an operational fighting lesson.
Trainer benefit: Creates a defined setting for reviewing engagement, control, disengagement and recovery. The trainer can ask whether the dog remains responsive instead of treating a more intense session as an automatic improvement.
Provide a dedicated professional training implement rather than asking a general-purpose pillow or sleeve to serve every role. It belongs after the foundational equipment in the SCAD™ sequence.
Trainer benefit: Helps the trainer organize specialist sessions around a defined implement and objective. Its value must be demonstrated through consistent observation and product-specific assessment, not claims that a reading predicts human injury.

Quick look: K1K9 KESP™ Civilian Suit
A form-fitting European-cut jacket and adjustable trousers, designed to be worn as supplied or beneath suitable civilian clothing. Custom fit, flexible movement and sensor-ready construction.
First-wave orders open November 15, 2026. First product rollout: Q1 2027.
Puncture-resistant does not mean puncture-proof. Correct fit, professional supervision and equipment inspection remain essential.
The K1K9 Sparring Partner builds on the Civilian Suit with additional features for the distinct training responsibilities of military and law-enforcement K9 programs.
First batch: U.S. military. Second batch: international military SOF and Tier 1 SWAT. No general-release date announced.
Full specifications and restricted accessories remain confidential. Proof and verification are required; contractor eligibility does not automatically grant restricted-accessory access.
A close-fitting silhouette with puncture-resistant construction, impact-protection technology and concealed sensors. Intended for controlled, professionally supervised training.
First-wave ordering opens November 15, 2026. Pricing and configuration-specific delivery by private quotation.
Certification and eligibility verification are required. Product-specific protective performance and feedback-system safety require validation; no independent safety certification or comparative training benefit is established here.

SPECIAL K9 APPLICATIONS DIVISION
Develop the athlete. Document the progress.
This is the K9 high-performance center: a place for physical development, conditioning, professional observation and better-informed decisions. Build the foundation before operational application.

Equipment is not a substitute for K9 or handler preparation.
SIGNALS builds understanding. SCAD™ develops the K9 athlete and educates the professional sparring partner. KINETIC™ addresses operational application, including the K1K9 K-EDAV™ and K1K9 K-MDAV™ vests and K9 helmet.
One development ecosystem. Every product has a purpose. Every decision belongs to the professional.
Purpose before equipment.
Choose the development objective first. Select the equipment to support it.
Records before assumptions.
Review the dog, the configuration and the conditions together.
Preparation before application.
Build the K9 athlete. Educate the professional. Keep welfare in the process.

EVIDENCE / LIMITATIONS
Less assumption. Better questions.
Our aim is to replace unsupported impressions with a record that can be reviewed. The science has to support the claim, not merely appear beside it.
Barking, arousal and quiet focus
Barking can be a defined, scored behavior: FCI IGP rules evaluate hold-and-bark while requiring handler control. This is not proof that uncontrolled escalation improves development (FCI IGP rules, pp. 53 and 56–57).
In a food-detour study, increased arousal improved performance in assistance dogs but impaired it in pet dogs. This was not a protection-dog recall or bite-work trial (Bray et al., 2015).
Vocalization correlated with some frustration measures in a separate test battery; that does not mean every bark is frustration (McPeake et al., 2021). Silence alone is also insufficient: freezing can accompany stress and difficulty responding to cues (Townsend & Gee, 2021).
Our proposed standard: assess cue responsiveness, recovery, welfare and the task actually performed. Do not mistake volume for quality, or silence for proof.
What a measurement can and cannot tell us
A 2021 instrumented-sleeve study reported measurement reliability and sensor-range limitations; its results do not validate KAIR™ or a different implement (Hyytiäinen et al., 2021).
For this program, a comparison should identify the equipment, configuration, wear, calibration, units and assessment conditions. Force, contact pressure and a proprietary score must not be presented as interchangeable.
A plateau is a question to investigate, not proof of one training fault. No universal puppy PSI target, required weekly increase, injury threshold or product-specific accuracy is claimed here.
Professional experience is valuable. It is not a controlled trial.
The program’s founder reports that, in his field experience since 2009, quiet, responsive dogs have been easier to keep connected to the handler than dogs displaying intense vocal arousal. This is an attributed professional observation, not a measured comparative success rate or proof that silence causes better control.
The next evidence step is independent, welfare-led assessment with clear definitions and consistent records. SCAD™ must distinguish published research, owner observations, product design intent and product-specific validation.
KINETIC™ ENGAGEMENT SPARRING PARTNER
Prepare the professional. Protect the development process.
KESP™ education supports the SCAD™ equipment program. Designated course completion is required for professional access to the suit range. Contact K1K9 for regional courses, eligibility and enrollment dates.
Instructor competence, K9 welfare, control and documented limitations come before equipment use. Advanced sensing or feedback proposals are not established safety features.
KAIR™ Sensor Bands
Civilian and Low-Profile High-Intensity suits include two bands; the Military / Law-Enforcement edition includes four. Additional bands are available to suit purchasers as singles or packs.
Limited first runs. Allocations follow the stated priority order. Remaining first-round units are considered for civilian professional K9 trainers. Product-specific quantities and delivery targets are separate.
