Six pathways. Defined audiences. Supervised preparation.
Open a section for its purpose, entry requirements and next step.
01 / CIVILIAN HANDLERSThe PSS-K9™ handler pathway
Explore the three levels
Level 1 · Civilian PSS-K9™ Series
Civilian PSS-K9™ Series covers the differences between sport, protection and PSS-K9™ preparation, bite purpose, threat identification, commands, deployment, engagement, recall, recovery, casualty care and legal responsibilities.
Level 2 · Kinetic Engagement
Supervised development of team communication, control, judgment and recovery under pressure. Preparation includes K9 and handler welfare, incident recognition and emergency-readiness planning.
Level 3 · The Armed Handler & PSS-K9™
A safety-focused pathway for handlers who carry lawfully. The emphasis is responsible decision-making, K9 control and clearly defined professional instruction.
Entry: Every dog and handler is assessed. Level 3 requires Level 2 completion and current qualified firearms training. Level 2 prerequisites and individual suitability are confirmed during assessment.
Civilian education does not provide access to restricted agency syllabuses. Training must remain within the participant’s jurisdictional law.

Explore specialty subjects
Low-Light Domestic Safety
Supervised education around household planning, K9 control, visibility and emergency communication.
Mobile Threat & Dog-Targeting Awareness
Recognizing unsafe situations while walking, traveling or working with a K9. Priorities include prevention, creating distance and obtaining appropriate assistance.
Personal & Family Safety Awareness
Prevention-focused discussion of vehicle, travel and family-security concerns, with clearly defined boundaries for responsible K9 ownership.
K9 & Handler Emergency Readiness
Prepare emergency contacts, veterinary records and contingency plans if a dog or handler becomes injured or unable to continue.
Entry: Assessment and prerequisites depend on the selected subject. The proposed 3–5-day school format is subject to confirmation for each offering.
Review the entry process →03 / ORGANIZATIONSOrganizational team preparation
Explore organizational scope
A defined role before a K9 is introduced.
Review team responsibilities, handler suitability, public interaction, communication and how a K9 program fits within the organization’s existing safety plan.
Scope is developed around the organization rather than offered as a universal solution. A K9 does not replace emergency services, qualified security personnel or an established emergency plan.
Entry: Organizational requirements and the proposed dog-and-handler team are reviewed first. Legal, insurance and site-policy questions require the organization’s qualified advisers.

Explore the professional route
One ecosystem. No duplicate course catalog.
KESP™ professional sparring-partner development and KAIR™ measurement remain in SCAD™. KINETIC™ connects that foundation with supervised team application.
Explore KESP™ Levels 1, 2 and 3 with your eligible PSS-K9™. Enrollment and full class descriptions open November 15, 2026, for the 2027 training year. Individual class dates, prerequisites and availability are confirmed with the offering.
Entry: Professional experience, suitability and level-specific requirements are reviewed before acceptance.

Explore the assessment route
Start with the K9 in front of you.
Referral-based review for K9s previously trained in sport or protection programs, considered alongside the handler’s experience and the team’s security requirements.
Assessment determines whether a suitable development pathway exists. Prior training does not establish suitability, and acceptance or a particular outcome is not guaranteed.
Entry: Referral, training history and a review of the dog, handler and intended role. This service remains within K1K9-CONCIERGE™.

Corrections Special Operations K9
Agency-specific professional education informed by correctional experience. Restricted syllabuses are available only through the approved credential-review process.
KEPS™ Agency Education
A proposed separate pathway for qualified agencies evaluating KEPS™. Availability depends on product readiness and completion of applicable electrical, veterinary-welfare and use-of-force review. It is not represented as open for enrollment.
Entry: Verified law-enforcement or military credentials, agency eligibility and program-specific screening. Restricted content is not unlocked by opening this box.
No operational syllabus, installation guidance or activation instructions are included in this preview.

Assessment first. Review the dog, handler, training history and intended role before selecting a program. Measurement can support that review; no single measurement establishes suitability.
A defined program. Confirm prerequisites, instructors, delivery format, duration and jurisdictional requirements before acceptance. Restricted pathways require credential verification.
A documented outcome. Training records should describe observed performance and development needs. They are not a guarantee that a K9 will protect someone or a substitute for legal advice.
