Details of decoy work, scenario design, evaluation criteria, deployment doctrine, and the internal architecture of Phase Two and beyond are held under the highest level of confidentiality — for the safety of the dogs, the safety of our handlers, and the safety of the households we place into. Every K1K9 Giant Schnauzer goes through Phase One — regardless of where their pipeline eventually takes them. PSSD placement, corrections special-operations deployment, or Tier One private household — the foundation is the same. Temperament, drives, nerve, environmental confidence, socialization, foundational obedience, handler-relationship architecture. If a dog does not clear Phase One, the dog does not advance. Period.
At the end of Phase One, the dog is assessed against the pipeline it is best suited for — not the pipeline the client wants. A dog built for a corrections special-operations environment is not a dog built to blend into a family estate, and the reverse is equally true. It is exactly like a Formula One race team. Nobody knows who all of the crew members are. Nobody knows all of the engineers, all the way down to the people who contribute in the most mundane ways. But every one of them contributes to the success of the team, and every one of them is essential.
Our philosophy is the same. We do not name our trainers. We have specialists — every one of them with a defined skill set they excel in, and a defined role in how our dogs develop. We use a number of canine specialists in-house, and we use dozens of decoys across the world — professionals who, when they are called, answer the call with passion, professionalism, and the highest level of confidentiality.
